2019 PINK POWER

Threads hosted its first ever charity fashion show in 2015. The Pink Power Fashion Show is held in October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, to help raise awareness and funds to fight against breast cancer. Part of the proceeds are donated to The Mammography Scholarship For the Women's Hospital of Greensboro, a fund that provides women who cannot afford to pay for breast cancer screening with mammograms.

 

I had the opportunity to showcase my first ever garment at the 2019 Pink Power hosted at UNCG campus. This was truly a learning experience! I learned so much about myself as a designer, and of the process to constructing a garment.
